Named one of the Examiner’s 2014 Women in Horror: 93 Horror Authors you Need to Read Right Now, Danielle DeVor has been spinning the spider webs, or rather, the keyboard for more frights and oddities. She spent her early years fantasizing about vampires and watching “Salem’s Lot” way too many times. When not writing and reading about weird things, you will find her hanging out at the nearest coffee shop, enjoying a mocha frappuccino. Visit her at http://www.danielledevor.com

Welcome to the dark and twisted world of Josh Cuny, a new horror writer with a passion for the macabre. If you’re a horror fan, you’ve come to the right place. I was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on April 4, 1974, where I was raised. But since August of 2003, I have resided in Amarillo, Texas, where I would meet my wife, Jennifer, and have two children: Marcie and Jackson.

I have always wanted to be a writer but never had the discipline to take that step until the year 2023, when I finally decided to take that step. My chosen genre is my favorite genre, horror. As I have been an avid fan of horror movies since I was five years old, when I watched Dracula (1931) starring Bela Lugosi.

Horror movies and now horror stories have always been my passion, and I pour that excitement into my writing every day. As a horror writer, I strive to make my readers feel a range of emotions, from fear to excitement and everything in between. I write with a focus on the characters, creating people that feel real and relatable, even in the most desperate situations. It is my belief that in order to write a good story, you need to write good characters.

Ayralea Lander, a visual artist for most of her life, recently started writing late in 2022 and found that she loved storytelling just as much as the ceramics and digital art she also creates.

Ayralea spent much of her childhood running naked and wild through the forests behind her house in northern British Columbia, Canada. Several moves and years later, she now resides in Central Alberta, Canada, where she is much more civilized and keeps her clothing on. She lives in a small town with her husband, her dog, and a growing collection of tarantulas.

She consumes horror with ardor, especially indie horror novels that influence her own work as well. Adding to that is her favorite creature feature horror movies spanning the decades, but really, if it’s creepy, she will be into it.

International Impact Book Awards winner David Wilson was born on Halloween in Bangor, Maine in the late 1960s. A child of blue-collar parents, much of his time was spent at their family camp deep in the woods of northern Maine where fishing, hunting, and other outdoor, non-electronic activities filled his time. David became heavily involved in art during his childhood years and continued the hobby into adulthood. He prefers pencil and acrylics as his preferred medium and has used his amateur talent to help influence his writing through character sketches and paintings.

It wasn’t until later that David made the decision to become an author. His first completed novel, the first in his Maine humor series, was heavily influenced by true stories of his adventures, along with his father’s stories of his own childhood and early adult years.

A career law enforcement officer, David’s memoir, and second book completed, was heavily influenced from his time as a street cop and up through his later years as an undercover narcotics agent and instructor for the Maine State Police Academy. His memoir has been described as satirical, opinionated, and gritty.

After completing the second book in his Maine humor series David began to add a genre to his writing, publishing two books in the horror/thriller genre. Both still have the dark humor that David is known for in his writings, and both do very well with readers of the genre.

While his memoir and thrillers have been known to reflect David’s social opinions, his humor series, as the author describes them, “Are simply just for a laugh.”

David’s latest project was the completion of the third installment in his Maine-humor series. He’s also planning another psychological thriller novel, and a sequel to one of his currently published thrillers sometime in the future.

David lives in Central Maine with his wife, dog, and two cats. He still enjoys the outdoor activities and his artwork.

Mike Salt was born once... But then immediately raised by wolves. He spent the majority of his childhood fighting to survive in the forest. Cold. Alone. Mike learned English by snatching various paperbacks from campsites and off hikers. He is feral. He is in need of a bath. Don't trust him. But read his work. It's fine.

It's fine.

Before starting my journey as a horror writer, I did work for several video game and comic book companies as a character and concept artist. Currently, I'm an aspiring horror writer hoping to break into the industry through what opportunity I may find. My writing credits are mostly that of published work in the music and comics industry as well as two self-published books so far, "Hellverse: Shadows of the Abyss" and "Hellverse: Bloodlines of Kaos." Whereas most authors these days cater more to modern audiences, my goal is to rekindle the poetic violence and debauchery of classic literature. I prefer a story to build to something instead of giving everything right from the start.

C S Jones is an award winning writer from Wrexham, North Wales, who holds a prestigious 10 meter swimming certificate. Often mistaken for an escaped mental patient, he has been writing for only a short time, his recent massively inflated sense of self finally winning out over the years of overwhelming laziness. A keen horror enthusiast, he has finally decided to give back to a community that has provided so much, whether that be in his writing or general appearance. Initially a timid child, he was scared of anything and everything, including Ghostbusters 2 - insisting his parents record over it immediately. Over the coming months, he is hoping to release his first novelette. If he can make you feel even a modicum of that terror, then mission accomplished. I, I mean, he, hope's you enjoy.
