Another banger from Patrick McNulty! He keeps churning out these thrillers, and I keep devouring them. Each one is unique in setting, theme, action, with the only uniting factor being my favourite bad@ss, Danny Devlin.This Danny Devlin tale finds him stranded in the town of Draper’s Creek after a crash on the infamous Rattler Road. Serendipitous timing places him right in the midst of a community being held hostage by petty criminals, who themselves are caught up in an intricate web of biological crime.What will you find in this book? Constant bone-snapping, blood-curdling action with only brief reprieves so we can fall in love with this small town and its cast of loving, cozy characters. As always in a Devlin tale, you will find multiple villains you’ll love to hate. In this installation there are ones akin to Mason Verger of Hannibal, Bond’s Silva, and Gale and Evelle Snoats from Raising Arizona.If you haven’t read any Danny Devlin thrillers yet, I highly recommend them. He’s the perfect combination of Borne, John Wick, and Clint Eastwood. Fun, fast-paced, all unique. You can jump in anywhere.

Patrick has brought a fun, white-knuckled thrill ride of a story to us again. In the second Danny Devlin book, we see Danny being jerked from his paradise in Greece to stow away on a cargo plane to retrieve a special key. He finds out quickly that the people that he's going against in this one, won't be an easy match. The story starts off hot with the intro of Rudy a larger-than-life man that is hiding the secret key that everyone is after. It doesn't slow down from that point on and is an intense, action-packed read. The hits keep on coming and your adrenaline won't stop pumping. Can't wait for the next installment in this series.
