And Hell followed with her…
Sixteen-year-old Hannah Ramirez wakes on the cold ground—bloody, terrified, and surrounded by whispers from the dead. They cling to her, crawl through her thoughts, and use her breaking body as their doorway back into the world.
Every vision steals another piece of her.
Every scream digs its claws deeper.
And the spirits aren’t letting her go.
But neither is the government unit hunting her—a secret division that knows exactly what she’s becoming… and will do anything to control it.
Now Hannah is caught between two unstoppable forces—
the living who want to weaponize her, and the dead who want to claim her.
The doorway is open.
The dead are coming.
And Hannah is the key they’ll burn the world to possess.
God of the Dead is the white-knuckle third instalment in the Monsters & Mayhem Collection—a standalone descent into madness, terror, and the razor-thin line between life and death.

LEFT ME WANTING MORE..!!!!I will be looking for the next ones to follow in these footsteps.Read these you will NOT be disappointed.
All I'm gonna say is that it was ok but nothing I would recommend, and I'm not saying why but hopefully you get it.Didn't like the characters.
I couldn't stop reading each book. Not your typical ghost story. Characters are believable, writing style flows and all three stories are spooky as hell. Glad I stumbled upon this author who is now one of my favorites.
"God of the Dead" by Patrick McNulty is nothing short of exhilarating! As the latest gem in his Monsters & Mayhem Collection, McNulty expertly weaves a tale that's both captivating and heart-pounding. The narrative sprints with electric pace, its characters drawing you into their harrowing journey – a small-town sheriff and her wife's relentless fight to protect a possessed young girl. The raw emotions, the palpable tension, the looming horrors - everything feels so real, you're right there with them. While the horror elements could easily tip into excess, McNulty maintains a balanced grip, driving the story with precision to its thrilling climax. Cinematic, intense, and with an apocalyptic ambiance, this book promises a ride you won't forget. Dive in and embrace the adrenaline rush!
I always know going into Patrick’s books that I’m in for one hell of a ride. And this one definitely didn’t disappoint. I love these books of something going down in a small town with no communication and the rise of a hero. My absolute favorite types of books since I was a kid. Not only did Patrick elevate that, but he down right MURDERED IT. I did not think it was possible for him to make another book that could top the first two in the series but I think this one takes the cake. The amount of thought, character development, tormenting, hopelessness, and horror in this book is unbelievable. My anxiety was high the entire time I read this. BRAVO PATRICK!

from 178 reviewsIn a small town in Wyoming in the middle of winter, Danny Devlin only wants to be a wilderness guide and to forget his combat past. Danny’s world turns upside down when a terrorist shows up in town and a Senator‘s daughter is being held captive. It’s hard as a reader not to feel devastated with this young girls experience. Can Danny save her? To what extent will the terrorist go to exact revenge on the senator? Can Ruby the Senator‘s daughter maintain her fortitude in this extremely extenuating circumstance? This story takes place in the wilds of Wyoming in the middle of a blizzard. The author has spent time well developing his characters and the book proceeds at a breathtaking pace. If you enjoy action, adventure novels, this book is meant for you. The story is full of valor, deception, bravery, fortitude, survival, revenge, and redemption.
Many storylines, each with surprises.Author brought everything together well at the end.
Danny Devlin life was peaceful now he is thrust into a mission he never wanted. Fast paced tension filled edge of your seat read.
Danny Devlin takes to the skies in this new thriller by Patrick McNultyHigh-octane, nonstop action that ups the stakes for our favourite protagonist. This story hits the ground running with hateful villains, explosive action without reprieve, and hand-to-hand combat that will have you wincing and cheering from the first page to the last.Danny Devlin cannot catch a break. He was enjoying life in Santorini Greece, soaking in the sun and the intoxicating waters of the Mediterranean, when he was summoned back to duty. His new task? Cracking a nemesis of a safe that his father had failed at when Danny was a child. To top it off, he would have to do it in a claustrophobic, frantic setting: midair on a cargo plane. Is that all there is to it? If that wasn’t enough, Devlin has to deal will several factions of parties who are also interested in the contents of the safe. This leads to a lengthy and intense game of cat-and-mouse between Devlin, and an equally lethal assassin, Redd. The action is breathtaking from the first page to the last, the emotional gut-punch from some of the scenes and character interactions were heart-wrenching, and the combat, smarts, and heroics from Devlin solidify him as one of my favourite literary action stars of all time. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this book.
I sat down with the Enemy Within by Patrick McNulty and had the hardest time last night putting it down. As soon as I could I grabbed it back up and fell into this crazy, scary thrill ride. You have got to read this new #2 book in the Danny Devlin Thriller Series. It will not only keep you breathless and on your toes it will carry you through the whole crazy thrill ride of your life!So Danny Devlin, formerly Navy Seal, survived the last mission with his hands destroyed and needing to be rebuilt. A private company hired him for different missions and it paid very well. This mission was to Brazil where he was to hide in a crate locked into it, loaded on an airplane until in the air, then he was to sneak out and break into a safe that was built to explode if tampered with. So, not telling the story but leaving it a mystery like it was to me. Grab this book right away and enjoy the whole book like I did.
Patrick has brought a fun, white-knuckled thrill ride of a story to us again. In the second Danny Devlin book, we see Danny being jerked from his paradise in Greece to stow away on a cargo plane to retrieve a special key. He finds out quickly that the people that he's going against in this one, won't be an easy match. The story starts off hot with the intro of Rudy a larger-than-life man that is hiding the secret key that everyone is after. It doesn't slow down from that point on and is an intense, action-packed read. The hits keep on coming and your adrenaline won't stop pumping. Can't wait for the next installment in this series.
Danny came home for peace and quiet. Now he is trying to save someone from a sadistic person. Will he get there in time? Action packed.
I know this writer from hard core horror, but if you can write you can write. I loved this book, you can feel the cold and smell the blood, what else can you want?
A book that could easily fit on the big screen. Patrick gives us Danny, a tough action hero who is trying to do the right thing. For some reason, I kept the picture of him as John McClain, played by Bruce Willis, from Die Hard. A man's man. The chases, violence, and twists of the story keep you hooked from the start. Ruby is such a good character to root for, and Merrick is the guy you can't help but hate. In all, this story keeps your heart pumping and pages turning. I can't wait to see more adventures with Danny Devlin.
Patrick McNulty has done it again! "Follow the Devil" captivates you and holds your attention from page 1. "Follow the Devil" follows the story of the Senator's daughter being kidnapped. However, this is just the beginning. In the process of looking for the Senator's daughter, one of the FBI's most wanted criminals is captured. However, he doesn't have the Senator's daughter. If he doesn't have her, then who does? Does he know where she is? Can they even trust anything he says? You will find yourself asking more and more questions as this action-packed story unfolds.Danny Devlin makes an appearance as the loner tough guy that just wants to be left alone. However, he seems to be a magnet for trouble. So, of course it's only natural that Danny Devlin would find himself racing the clock, with all odds against him, looking for the Senator's daughter. The question is will she be found in time or will they all be too late?I highly recommend reading this book yourself to find out. Patrick McNulty did an amazing job keeping you captivated and fully emersed in his writing the entire time. My review honestly doesn't do this book justice, but I can tell you I am absolutely looking forward to book 2 coming out. Go buy this book now, I promise you won't be disappointed!
This book was a really good read. It’s fast, intense, and hard to put down. The story keeps you guessing the whole way through, and the suspense never lets up. The writing pulls you in, and you can almost feel the cold and danger of the mountains. It’s the kind of book that keeps you turning pages late into the night. If you like thrillers or stories with tension and twists, this one definitely delivers.
Follow the Devil is a gripping, fast-paced thriller that hooks you from the first page. Danny Devlin is a tough but relatable hero, and the story is packed with twists, action, and tension. If you love gritty crime thrillers, this one’s a must-read!
McNulty knows how to thrill and terrify readers, from page 1!
I could not put the book down! I started reading and read until I was done. It is a thrills minute book and I loved it! It draws you in and keeps you.Ruby a Senators daughter has been kidnapped. No ransom demanded, yet. Who are the kidnappers? What do they want? Why? Where is she? So many questions to answer. If she can escape, how? She is bound and unable to get out. I love Danny Devlin too, he was amazing, tough and I wouldn't want him chasing me down to get Justice. If you enjoy psychological thrillers, you will love this book Follow The Devil by Patrick
